This Essence was a great surprise to us. We arrived home from our honeymoon to find our lettuces had all gone to seed. At the top appeared a beautiful flower. I honestly never knew they flowered. Each day Graeme would attend the garden. One morning, he announced that the lettuce wants to be made into an essence. I arrogantly thought "what would a simple lettuce have to offer our spiritual progress?" Always willing to listen to nature, we immediately prepared our equipment and went into ceremony as we normally do when making an essence. Once it was set up, we decided to go out for the day and birth the essence when we got back. Upon arriving home I felt a surge of energy coming from the patio where the essence was gestating. I was met with a powerful, vibrant energy that nearly knocked me over. I immediately felt humbled and somewhat guilty that I totally underestimated this little yellow flower.

As I was preparing for its birth, I had songs running through my head. "You Raise Me Up", "The Wind Beneath My Wings" and "Give Yourself Permission to Shine". This was giving me a very clear understanding what this essence was about.

A message that came through a friend - "this is an essence that turns a perceived sow's ear into a silk purse".

I will never, ever think of anything in nature as being insignificant again. This essence has all the powerful qualities to help up rise up through the levels of growth in our spirituality and other areas of our life. So often we think of ourselves as being ordinary. Every one of us is extraordinary, magnificent, a miracle and a child of our Divine Mother and Father. How could we ever consider ourselves as being ordinary?

This essence reveals itself to us at the same time a beautiful shy woman from Scotland graces our ears with her magnificent voice - Susan Boyle, I Dream the Dream. We dedicate this essence to Susan Boyle, who has shown us that anything is possible. We all have greatness waiting to bloom.
